Resurging Communities Inc. began as the ELITE Program, an initiative focused on at-risk youth aged 15-19. ELITE taught valuable skills in leadership, financial independence, and personal growth, providing youth with tools to overcome economic barriers and achieve self-sufficiency. This program, and the dedication of our founding team—Erica Harper, Tamara Taylor, and Katona Robinson—paved the way for broader community initiatives and sustainable change.
Today, Tamara Taylor serves as our Director of Operations, bringing over 20 years of experience in real estate and five years in life and health insurance. Tamara’s career, from payroll specialist at a major trucking company to real estate agent, has equipped her with the knowledge and commitment to enhance community engagement and operational excellence at Resurging Communities.
In 2024, Sonny J. Howard joined the team as Chief Financial Officer. With a distinguished background in finance, including an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, Sonny brings expertise in strategic planning, capital raising, and product development. His financial acumen strengthens our organization, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainable growth.
